At Jorden and White, we represent victims of food born illnesses. We know that such illnesses can have devastating consequences to victims, including permanent illness or death. The CDC estimates that 76 million food born illnesses cases occur in the United States every year, which means that one in four Americans contact a food born illness from something they eat a restaurant or from a grocery story that is contaminated with such pathogens as e.coli 0175:H7, salmonella, hepatitis A, and listeria. Approximately 325,000 people are hospitalized with illnesses and 5,000 die.
